I began to teach myself to play the piano at a very young age. When visiting my Grandmother’s house, I would sneak into the sewing room, carefully (and quietly) lift the creaky keyboard cover on her old piano, climb onto the bench and hammer out random notes until I could find a couple that sounded good together, playing them over and over again until finally being ushered away from the piano by annoyed family members.

Grandma’s piano (or any piano that happened to be nearby) served as the sole outlet for my musical expression until I got my first electronic keyboard at age 8 allowing me to further explore the harmonies and dissonance that could be created on 49 plastic keys or less.

The music presented on this site is the culmination of years of exploration—now, of course, with more advanced equipment and many more keys. Without formal musical training, piano lessons, or the ability to read or write musical notation, I create music exclusively through this exploration—100% by ear.

Although music has always played a significant part in my life, it was not until early 2007 that I made the decision to make it my primary focus by embarking on one of the most ambitious life projects to date: self-producing my debut album. I compiled a handful of songs I had written thus far into a collection honoring the places that inspired me along the way.

In January 2008, G-ography became commercially available on CD Baby, iTunes, DigStation and several other digital and "brick & mortar" outlets. G-ography has since sold on 3 continents and songs have been featured on Indie web-based radio stations.

With the release of my first CD as encouragement, in March of 2008 I completed my first original score for the independent short film Two Spirits, One Journey which has won critical acclaim at many international film festivals, including Outfest in Los Angeles.

My latest collection of work E=m_otion, became commercially available in 2010. This album delves deeper into the human condition by exploring perpetual energy, feeling and movement and represents a new sound for me that I call "Organic Instrumental."

I think of myself as not only a composer, but also a translator. Our Universe is full of musical energy and I am humbled to have the opportunity to transform that energy into song. Born in Sonoma County, California, I now reside in Los Angeles where I work from my home studio.
